Hi everybody my name is Taylor Anselmo and I'm Madison's 21 year old sister and in just 4 hours I will be leaving to Las Vegas to attend what is going to be the best festival in my life. Many ravers dream of the day they can go to 3 main festivals one of those 3 is EDCLV which is what I'm attending the other two are TomorrowLand as well as burning man! To many people whom don't like raving they find our music nonsense, loud, sounds! But to someone who listens you hear so much more! One common thing that many kids make fun of is PLUR. This acronym stands for Peace Love Unity Respect. Theres also and handshake in which you must do if you want to give someone your jewelry that you make yourself before most events, the jewelry is called Candy. Im not entirely sure why its called that but, yes, and to most it does sound strange but to the rave "community", it is so much more. Its a way of escape from the craziness that we call the outside world! A place where only people like us exist and that not one person is there to judge! To me raving is so much more than what people see it as. So many see it as an excuse for kids to get messed up on drugs and dance ridiculously but that is the bad side to raving. Thats what gives us ravers a bad reputation but once yo take away the drugs and ridiculous side of it what you have left is pure happiness. That is what raving is really about.
