Day 19

Last night I believe was the best night. I saw zedd, for those who don't know zedd is a very Dj and absolutely put on an amazing show. My friends told me he put on a good show but I didn't expect it to be that amazing. I just felt such amazing energy from all the people nobody was negative and as much as I was tired and my feet hurt the second he came on I forgot and let loose. It was amazing.

 

Day 18

So let me start by saying last night was insane I LOVE Firefly music festival! I may not enjoy camping but i do love listening to the Kooks while surrounded by kook lovers! Last night was such a special experience I loved every minute of it! Even though today I had to walk 1.5 miles to a nearby McDonalds to find free wifi! Its well worth the exercise! I must admit these next few days will be moments I will never forget. Listening to some of your favorite artists live is just such a whole different experience.

Day 17

Today I leave for the greatest weekend of my life!! In just 10 minutes I leave for my 4 day music festival that i have been waiting for for about 3 months now! Ive never wanted to go to something so badly and I guess this festival was also one of the main driving forces for my blog topic! Im going to see all sorts of bands from Snoop Dogg all the way to Hozier! the only downfall is some of my favorite artists are on at the same set times but Im sure my friends and I will find a way around that minor issue! Well, with only a few posts left I'm off!! 

Day 16

Guest Post: 

Hi everybody my name is Taylor Anselmo and I'm Madison's 21 year old sister and in just 4 hours I will be leaving to Las Vegas to attend what is going to be the best festival in my life. Many ravers dream of the day they can go to 3 main festivals one of those 3 is EDCLV which is what I'm attending the other two are TomorrowLand as well as burning man! To many people whom don't like raving they find our music nonsense, loud, sounds! But to someone who listens you hear so much more! One common thing that many kids make fun of is PLUR. This acronym stands for Peace Love Unity Respect. Theres also and handshake in which you must do if you want to give someone your jewelry that you make yourself before most events, the jewelry is called Candy. Im not entirely sure why its called that but, yes, and to most it does sound strange but to the rave "community", it is so much more. Its a way of escape from the craziness that we call the outside world! A place where only people like us exist and that not one person is there to judge! To me raving is so much more than what people see it as. So many see it as an excuse for kids to get messed up on drugs and dance ridiculously but that is the bad side to raving. Thats what gives us ravers a bad reputation but once yo take away the drugs and ridiculous side of it what you have left is pure happiness. That is what raving is really about. 

Day 15

Tomorrow is my guest post and for my guest post i chose my sister! The main reason I chose my sister is just like I am this weekend she is flying to the west coast and going to EDC Las Vegas! Anybody that listens to EDM Electronic Dubstep or trap knows what and how big EDC LV is! My sister is also an aspiring DJ she has spun at clubs on long island. With the help she receives from the talented artists she meets at the clubs and raves she goes to it was super easy to get into the business and booking gigs! I'm very excited for her to tell you all about her love of EDM

Day 14

yesterday was my birthday and being that I was out with my mother all day and I'm back to working at good ole bath and body works today I thought some throwbacks would be a great mood for the day! Some common names that I tend to put on are Jesse McCartney, Jojo, a little bit of old nelly and even shaggy! Sometimes its really good to just put on some of the most classic songs that you used to listen to as you grew older! It really is so weird how your music taste changes as you grow up!

Day 13

As my music festival becomes closer and closer I tend to listen to more indie. Im slowly becoming one the biggest Paul McCartney fan. I don't know many of his songs but I do like his tone. Paul McCartney will be preforming at the festival I'm Attending and I sure hope I can learn a few more songs by the time I hear him playing live!

Day 12

Well tonight is when i finally see all of my old friends, its been so long since i have seen some. Some i haven't seen since graduation and it feels great to be reuniting and in honor of it being my birthday celebration night we are listening to a bunch of throwbacks. Some good ole Shaggy It wasn't me, some Miley Cyrus, pre-crazy era, and even some NSYNC will be playing! you know the good stuff! Well hope it goes as great as it seems! 

Day 11

With my birthday this weekend I guess you could say I am a bit happier. Im finding myself listening to more rap as I get ready to go out and have a good time with my friends! I most certainly can say that I missed some of my friends and they most definitely can help get my mind off of things! 

Day 10

The more that occurs within my situation the more positive I must become, I went back to work today and just felt a bit of fresh air to just kind of clear my mind. I found that by not sitting and moping along with focusing on the positives i was able to listen to more of my regular music! I also found out a girl I work with is going to the same music festival as I am it made our conversations after that come more naturally because we realized we had a bit more in common rather than only working in the same place!
